Jackie Chan fans have a reason to celebrate because the popular actor has declared that there’s a chance of his return in his Rush Hour franchise with a fourth installment – Rush Hour 4.
“We’re talking about Rush Hour 4 right now,” said the actor during his first appearance on stage during the Red Sea Film Festival, in Jeddah. The actor then revealed some more details about the film, saying the “the script isn’t right” currently, but the actor will “see the director tonight and we will be talking about it.” The initial Rush Hour film, which was released in 1998, earned $244 million globally. The film also featured Chris Tucker and its success set the stage for a new franchise that saw two sequels.

In reminiscing about his time accepting the role in the premiere film made in Hollywood the action star declared, “I tried so many times to go to Hollywood, but after that, I said no more Hollywood because my English is not good, they’re not my culture, they don’t like this kind of action,” He stated. Incredulous of the part which was handed his way, the actress told the story, “My manager said look there’s a script and it’s named Rush Hour. I replied, “No, Hong Kong police? I’m not doing it. He was like, Jackie I’m sorry, why would you not give it a shot the first time. I said, okay I’m going to try this one final time.” In the event that the film was hugely successful and the actor admitted that he was unaware of how it would impact his career. “For me I don’t know the exact number of 70 million means. I’m not aware of what the number of tickets sold. I do know it was an enormous success. Then they came up with Part 2 and Part 3.” said the director.
In his speech in the Red Sea International Film Festival The star also stated 2022 will mark his 60th birthday in the field of film. He further stated that he plans for “less action stories, more love stories” in the near future. And currently in the process of preparing the project he calls”a “drama film for women.”
