The Marvel cinematic universe has made a huge impact on cinema and fascinated billions of film geeks everywhere. It all started with Ironman in 2008 and is now expanding into the first canon Marvel TV show Wanda Vision in 2021, resulting in an almost all-time viewer record on the Disney+ platform. Despite the marvel studio’s biggest journey in the history of cinema, there are still millions of people who do not know what marvel movies are. If you’re one of those people, You’re in the right place. Let me walk you through this Marvel Marathon.
First and foremost, it’s not a day marathon, you can’t just wrap up the whole franchise in one day. Darling, you have no idea how many films are in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Currently, The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) holds the title of the largest movie franchise in cinema history. You heard it right, and it will only get bigger.
Thus, given the statistics, if you have reached the decision to embark on the biggest cinema franchise of all time, I am pleased to welcome you to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Marvel Marathon: How To Watch The Marvel Movies
Every film in the MCU is interweaved, which means you have to watch all the movies to comprehend the progressing narrative. In fact, One of the interesting facts of MCU is, the studios have consistently been inserting Easter eggs in the film since the very first movie, Iron Man. If you don’t know what it means, an Easter Egg is simply a hidden element that may foreshadow the outcome or hint at the events from the next film which is what Marvel has done in these years with their films. Each movie in the franchise holds your attention throughout and keeps you spellbound. I can assure you that you won’t fly the cop from the MCU. Because guess what? It’s addictive.
Marvel Movies In Order Of Release (Including Shows) :
Said that I understand there are two approaches to watching marvel movies. The former is watching them in the timeline order and the latter is watching in order of release. You have your choices, but here’s what I would say as a huge Marvel fan. Watch the movies the way Marvel presented them. It’s best if you stick to the release date. It’s a special and authentic viewing experience, and also it is the best order to watch Marvel movies. I know you might become a bit concerned about not keeping up with the events, but there’s no need to worry. This release date order is obvious and there’s no room for confusion in the MCU as opposed to the so-called X-Me…Ahem. Ahem.
It was the year 2008 that gave birth to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, under Kevin Feige’s supervision, with uncertainty over whether it would succeed. Turns out, the grand success of Ironman changed the trajectory, and the MCU has now become the biggest movie franchise.
1. Iron Man (May 2, 2008)

While Marvel Studios is celebrating the major success of Ironman, The Incredible Hulk was released but failed to meet the standards. For the most part, I find it hard to say to what extent the events of this movie are actually recorded in the MCU timeline. However, the origin story of Bruce Banner makes it a must-watch movie in the MCU.
On the side note, Norton, who played Bruce Banner in the film, was later replaced by Mark Ruffalo in The Avengers.

30. Eternals (November 5, 2021)
As a movie, Eternals is divisive and not everyone’s cup of tea. The film Eternals is very different from other superhero movies, with a completely new approach and direction. It is directed by Chloe Zhao, an Oscar-winning director. Have you ever seen an Oscar-winning director make a superhero film? Not until now. At its core, Eternals explores humanity and morality, illuminating a new philosophy behind superheroes. It is also mythological in some way, and it is one of the most beautifully shot marvel movies to date. The story revolves around the unsung immortal heroes of the earth known as Eternals, who have secretly existed on Earth for thousands of years; they reunite to fight the evil Deviants.
No. Please don’t care about the IMDb rating. A thousand number of the negative reviews stemmed from the fact that Eternals had a cast of people from various regions around the world. That triggered some people, and they slandered the film as a result. Although the low rating isn’t necessarily due to racist reviews, the film has a divisive nature, as I mentioned.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is indeed the culmination of all three spider-men, with the most ambitious crossover in the history of comic-book cinema. It’s a huge cinematic event that I will never forget and is one of the best theatre experiences I have had since Endgame. This film itself has so many scenes that are just so delightful, memorable, epic, heroic, and poignant, and seeing three spidermen together is a treat.
However, there are still a number of issues and inconsistencies such as clumsy dialogue writing, over-reliance on fan service, mediocre CGI, missed opportunities, etc. that collectively make No Way Home, not the Best Spiderman movie ever.

33. Moon Knight
A little like WandaVision, Marvel once again dipped their toes to provide an original, fresh, and disorienting storytelling experience for the Moon Knight, a character who suffers from Dissociative Identity Disorder. All that Marvel has achieved in this show feels innovative, unlike what they did before, exploring Egypt’s mythological dimension. Although the conclusion was less than impressive, I am pleased to see that Marvel is taking off. My only complaint is that they could have given this more runtime and not let their typical formula derail it.

Thor Love and Thunder is a movie that could’ve been an incredible addition to the MCU, but is corrupted by a disposable plot that doesn’t respect its characters, undercuts real drama, and essentially amounts to surface-level storytelling that doesn’t take itself seriously by any means. She must perform her legal duty in this case as well.
“Liked Tatiana, and her performance as Jen/She-Hulk, her character arc is better part of this show. Liked some fourth-wall break moments (particularly loved the one in the finale). Liked how self-referential the show is, and how she-hulk acknowledges the “MCU” in the real world outside the wall. Even at a point in the finale, it gets so meta so much so that it can’t get any better. But, at the end of the day? What is it even trying to achieve? As I see it, It’s a clueless, aimless project marvel produced merely to fulfill their contractual obligation. It is as if they did it for the sake of doing it. It almost felt like at one point in the finale marvel deliberately wanted this show to be terrible. Idk, what they’re up to tbh. They even kinda acknowledge this show being bad in the finale? Is this their figurative definition of a troll? A prank? Or their own definition of fourth-wall break. Idk.”

I’m glad MCU is heading toward the gorier, violent side of their spectrum. This property, I was engrossed the whole time, though it wasn’t scary, the direction was surprisingly great given the directorial debut of the composer Micheal. Wakanda Forever is expectedly a poignant film that pushes to tell the next Wakandan’s story with the given material under unfortunate circumstances. The director, Ryan Coogler was able to structure a proper script that fit both the real-life circumstances and fictional events, and within that box, he succeeded in highlighting the themes of grief, death, and life that all contributed to Wakanda Forever becoming a pretty good film, yet powerful at its core.
Together with its better direction, wonderful performances, great score, and surprisingly better CGI in an MCU film in a long while, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is probably the standout film in Phase 4 ( Still need to think about this ). However, that’s not to say that the film is without its flaws. The biggest qualm with Wakanda Forever is its thin plot, which actually has very little depth, besides spending most of its time grappling with grief as an overarching theme…..more

Marvel Movies In Order Chronologically (Including Shows):
I guess watching Marvel movies in chronological order isn’t that bad after all. It’s sometimes fun to rewind and watch Marvel movies in timeline order and see how the plots are interwoven in an obvious manner. As someone who is a big Marvel fan, I think watching the MCU movies chronologically is a good idea or kind of experiment if you are planning to rewatch the entire saga for the second time. However, for those of you’ll who are planning to embark on this franchise – MCU for the first time, I still recommend a “release order”. Nonetheless, The timeline/chronological order begins with
- Captain America: The First Avenger – (During the 1940s)
- Captain Marvel – (Taking place in 1995)
- Iron Man – (Taking place in 2010)
- The Incredible Hulk – (Between Ironman 1 and 2)
