Life with SARS CoV 2 pandemic is different than anything we have experienced before. Parts of our homes turned into office space. Our kids are trying to make the most of remote or hybrid education. Our social contacts and travel is reduced to a minimum to help curb the spread of the virus. Can you think of other things that COVID 19 changed? Well, it changed our relationship towards healthy lifestyle.
In the beginning, it seemed that older people and people who have some preexisting conditions are most at risk of getting sick. However, quickly it became clearer that the virus doesn’t choose! With this realization, more and more of us started to be health-conscious. But there is a lot of contradicting information on what is and what is not healthy and how to live a healthy lifestyle. That inspired us to dig a bit deeper and talk with experts who are competent to give us information about gym accessories to use and food to eat to live healthily.
1. Visit Your GP Regularly
Generally, when we are feeling good we are not thinking about seeing a doctor. However, one of the healthy lifestyle tips is to see the GP regularly even if you are feeling perfectly fine. It is necessary because it allows you to detect whatever problems may exist early and treat them before they grow into something more complicated. If you are using the medication you can talk with your healthcare provider to see whether it would be good to change or decrease the dose.
2. Proper Nutrition
These days, we know more about the link between proper nutrition and good health! However, we are also surrounded by a growing number of diets that are advertised as super healthy and effective for different things. Experts however recommend developing healthy lifestyle habits instead of following any of these diets. People opt for some of these nutrition plans in an attempt to lose weight.
However, the main problem with these diets is that they create the yoyo effect. That means that whatever results you achieve with the specific program when you return to your normal eating habits, they will be annulled. That is why it is necessary to incorporate a balanced diet plan into your daily routine. That doesn’t mean that you have to give up on all of your pleasures. Make sure to plan most of your meals so you can get nutrients that are necessary for you to be healthy. Then allow yourself now and then to eat a slice of pizza, burger, or piece of cake.
Here are healthy foods you should take :

3. Drink Water
You know that we are mainly made of water, right? When you know this then it is clear that drinking water is more than essential for our wellbeing. Many people neglect the importance of this and they think that they don’t need to drink more than what they already do by drinking coffee, soda, beer, etc. it is necessary to understand that it is far from being the same. Human beings, like other living beings on Earth, need to drink at least six to eight glasses of water.
Some people say they don’t like the taste. It is possible, although unlikely because it has sort of a neutral taste. Still don’t let this become an excuse for not drinking water. You can squeeze a lemon or add cucumber slices or mint to improve the taste.
4. Exercise
If you want to enjoy all the benefits of a healthy lifestyle, make sure to exercise regularly. Experts recommend at least 150 minutes of moderate or 75 minutes of vigorous exercise per week for adults. Generally, the more you spend time working out, the more chances you have to improve your health. It is primarily responsible for weight loss & fitness. However, many don’t have time to work out that much. Ideally, aim to exercise at least half an hour per day. The trick is to find effective exercises that you can do both at home and in the office.
5. Get Enough Sleep
People rarely pay attention to sleep. We know that we sleep when we are tired and that is it. But often when we have deadlines or something we cut back on sleeping hours thinking that it is not so important and that we can compensate for lost hours when we have more time. But, it’s not so simple! Having a good night’s sleep for about 6 to 8 hours each night is as important as exercise and balanced nutrition for health. When we are sleeping our body is recovering from all the efforts and preparing for the upcoming day.
